Meet the Teacher

Hello! My name is Kym Bentley and I am the Third Grade Teacher at Bement Elementary School. This will be my 5th year working within the Bement School District.  I started working in Bement as a Substitute Teacher and transitioned into a Paraprofessional role. Then, in the 2021-2022 school year, I started my teaching career as the Middle School ELA Teacher. However, teaching in an elementary classroom has always been a dream of mine. So, I am extremely grateful to have received the opportunity to move classrooms and teach third grade! 

As for my personal life, I am a graduate of Bement High School and honored to teach within the school that helped me get to where I am today. After high school, I went to Parkland College and then on to the University of Illinois. I graduated from the U of I with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. Then, in August 2023, I graduated from Western Governors University with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. 

I am looking forward to a great year in third grade!!! Go Bulldogs!!
