Dual credit allows you to earn high school credit and college credit at the same time.
Requirements:
minimum 3.0 high school GPА
have permission from the principal
must satisfy Texas Success Initiative (TSIA) requirements
Cost:
$318 per semester, per course
Courses Offered:
Junior Year: US History
Senior Year: Government, Economics, & English
Additional Electives (either year): Art Appreciation, Psychology, Sociology, Speech

For Students Who HAVE Taken Dual Credit Before:
If you’re interested in taking dual credit next year and have already completed a dual credit course, follow these steps:
Join the Dual Credit Google Classroom for instructions.
Sign up for dual credit on your course selection form.
Complete Steps 4 and 6 in the Google Classroom.
If you plan to take English 1301 & 1302, check your TSIA writing scores. You need either:
An essay score of 5 or higher, OR
A placement score of 340 and an essay score of at least 4
If you didn’t pass the TSIA writing section, sign up to retake that part of the TSIA. Keep in mind that this year, the reading and writing sections are combined.
For Students Who HAVE NOT Taken Dual Credit Before:
If you haven’t taken a dual credit course before, complete all steps in the Google Classroom.
