Welcome to fourth grade!
I am very excited for the opportunity to teach your child ELA this year. (Reading, English, and Writing). I will work very hard to insure your child learns what he/she needs to know to be successful in fourth grade. I can assure you BCS has done and will continue to take all necessary precautions to keep everyone safe. I am very excited and looking forward to a great and successful year!!!

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Below is some important information for you and your child to go over together.
Classroom Rules:
1. Listen and follow directions
2. No talking without permission
3. Raise hand to leave seat
4. Respect adults and classmates
5. No playing, hitting, or throwing objects
6. No misbehaving in cafeteria, hallway, or in line
7. Do not bother other students
8. Be prepared for class
9. Pay attention during class
Consequences:
1st Offense: Verbal warning
2nd Offense: Lose Recess
3rd Offense: Conference with student and contact parent
4th Offense: Office Visit
*At any time if an offense is major the teacher has the right to have the student removed from the classroom.
Testing:
Grades will be made up of written test, Bell Ringers, and A.R.
(For the first nine weeks your child must have 4 pts. for A.R.)
Homework:
Your child should read at least 20 minutes a night. (This can be an A.R. book, myON or Epic)
Supplies Needed:
A list of supplies can be found on our school webpage. (www.beekmancharter.org)
We will be using Google Classroom this year. I will show the students how to access their accounts.
*Make sure you sign up for “remind.” (a sheet is attached) There is a remind for each 4th grade teacher and one for a fourth grade class.
*Please fill out the attached “contact form” and return as soon as possible.
