Mrs. Graves

English I-II

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this letter finds you well. As we gear up for the start of a new academic year, I am thrilled to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your child's English teacher. My name is Mallory Graves, and I am genuinely excited to embark on this educational journey alongside your young learners.

Teaching English is not just a profession for me; it's a passion! I hold a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with an English concentration and a minor in History. I am also pursuing my masters degree in English Literature. I have the privilege of guiding students through the world of language and literature, and watching them grow into confident communicators and critical thinkers. My approach to teaching is rooted in the belief that every student has a unique set of skills and learning styles. My goal is to create a classroom environment where each student feels valued and empowered to express themselves. I plan to tailor my lessons to cater to individual needs, ensuring that every student finds the right balance between challenge and support. Throughout the year, your child and I will explore a wide range of topics, from diving into literary classics to honing writing and communication skills. But beyond the curriculum, I hope to inspire a love for language and a curiosity that extends beyond the classroom.

Communication is key to a successful partnership between parents, guardians, and teachers. I encourage you to reach out to me via email or during designated parent-teacher conferences if you have any questions, concerns, or insights you'd like to share about your child's learning journey. Your involvement plays a pivotal role in fostering an enriching educational experience.

I am truly honored to be a part of the Beekman Charter School family, and I eagerly anticipate getting to know each student and parent. Together, let's create an environment that nurtures growth, curiosity, and academic excellence.

Thank you for entrusting me with the privilege of educating your child. I look forward to a rewarding year ahead!

Sincerely,

Mallory Graves
