You’ve learned that workplace safety is everyone’s responsibility. Now it’s your turn to teach others how to stay safe by creating a slide presentation called:
🦺 “Be a Safety Hero! – How to Stay Safe and Stay Smart at Work”
Your slide deck will show what you’ve learned about workplace safety rules, protective gear, emergency actions, and teamwork.
Information on Workplace Safety
Your presentation must include at least 6 slides, as described below:
Title Slide: Include the project title, your name, class, and a safety-related image or icon.
Why Workplace Safety Matters: Explain why safety is important. Include at least two facts or statistics from the Workplace Safety: Stay Safe, Stay Smart! handout (for example: “90% of accidents are preventable”).
Common Hazards & Prevention: Identify at least three unsafe situations (such as spills, horseplay, or missing safety gear) and explain how to prevent them. Add pictures or clip art for each example.
Safety Gear Saves Lives: Describe at least three types of personal protective equipment (PPE) and what each protects you from. Include visuals or icons for each item.
What To Do in an Emergency: Explain the steps to take during an emergency—know exits, stay calm, alert a supervisor or teacher, and follow instructions.
Speak Up & Be a Safety Hero: Describe how students or workers can report unsafe conditions and encourage others to act safely. Add a motivational message or quote such as “Safety heroes take action!”
Optional Bonus Slide: Create your own Safety Slogan or Poster that promotes safe habits at school or work.
