In this project, you will explore how the skills you’re learning in this class—like coding, 3D design, 3D printing, robotics, and digital design—connect to real-world careers.
You’ll create a slideshow with at least 10 slides, each one highlighting a different job or occupation that uses the skills we practice in class.
Create a slideshow titled:
Your slideshow should include:
Title Slide
Project title
Your name
Class and date
10 Career Slides
Each slide should include:
Job Title (e.g., Game Designer, Mechanical Engineer)
What They Do – 2–3 sentences explaining what the job is about
Connection to Our Class—Explain how this job uses something we learn (for example, “This job uses 3D modeling like we do in class”).
Image—A photo or graphic related to the job
Average Salary
Reflection Slide (last slide)
Answer these two questions:
Which career interested you the most?
What new skills would you need to learn for that career?
Brainstorm:
Think about the skills we use in class—coding, 3D design, building, problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity.
Research:
Look up careers that use those skills. Use one or more of these websites:
www.bls.gov/ooh – Occupational Outlook Handbook
Create Your Slides:
Use Google Slides, PowerPoint, or Adobe Express.
Keep your slides neat, colorful, and easy to read.
Use bullet points and images—avoid long paragraphs.
Check Your Work:
Before you turn it in, make sure:
You have at least 10 career slides (plus title and reflection slides).
Each slide has an image, job info, and class connection.
Everything is spelled correctly and easy to read.
Turn In or Present:
You will either:
Submit your slideshow in Canvas, or
Present it to the class (check with your teacher for details).
