Students will design and build a scaled 3D house in SketchUp that includes two connected sections and required exterior features, demonstrating correct use of measurement tools, push/pull, grouping, and layout planning.
Each student model must include:
Two connected house sections (example: main house + garage, or two wings)
At least one functional door
At least three windows
Sidewalk leading to the door
Front yard area
Driveway connected to the house
A car parked in the driveway
An outdoor playset (swing set, slide, etc.)
Two connected sections built correctly (15 pts)
Door included and properly placed (5 pts)
At least three windows included (10 pts)
Sidewalk connected to the door (5 pts)
Driveway connected to the house (5 pts)
Car placed realistically in driveway (5 pts)
Yard area clearly defined (5 pts)
Outdoor playset included and placed logically (10 pts)
Proper use of Push/Pull tool (5 pts)
Objects grouped correctly (5 pts)
Clean model (no stray lines, gaps, or floating objects) (5 pts)
Model built to assigned size/scale (5 pts)
Model is complete and includes all required elements (10 pts)
Two scenes created (Top View + 3D View) (5 pts)
Student followed directions and used class time appropriately (5 pts)
90β100 = Excellent (Complete, clean, accurate)
80β89 = Good (Minor errors or missing detail)
70β79 = Fair (Multiple mistakes or missing item)
Below 70 = Incomplete or major components missing
