Spanish with Mrs. Ruggio
Nice to meet you and welcome to my page! I am Mrs. Carol Ruggio, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and I absolutely love living here in central Virginia. I grew up speaking Spanish and English in my family's home. While at UNC, I studied English literature and received my Bachelor of arts degree in that subject area. However, I have pursued teaching in ESL and Spanish as well. I have been teaching in this area since 2005 and happy to now be a part of BCPS.
My passions and interests are many, including wildlife and nature, trivia and current events, children's' literature stories and illustrations, theater arts, crafting, running, tennis, college basketball, taking care of animals and travel, especially to Spanish-speaking places. While in quarantine due to the pandemic, you could often find me enjoying family time, whether it was my daily walk in the woods by the James River, running, watching great films through family film festivals, gardening or playing a board game, our current craze includes Villanous!
