On Wednesday, August 28th, the Coy Band will be kicking off their annual Capital Campaign. A capital campaign is essentially a donation drive to raise funds to support our band. This is the only fundraiser that Coy’s band will do all year. The money raised is used to purchase new instruments, maintain and clean old equipment, bring in guest clinicians, and purchase music or anything else our program needs to survive. This fundraiser is optional for students but we hope that everyone will participate as we are all part of this team.
On the 99Pledges website, you can search for a specific student or donate to our program as a whole. We do offer incentives to students for their fundraising efforts but all money raised goes to the entire band program.

Timeline
Students can begin collecting donations on Wednesday, August 28th. All donations will be due on Wednesday, September 11th. Note: We can technically take donations at any time. However, only donations submitted by 9/11 will be used for class and individual rewards.
How to Collect Donations
We have several ways for a donor to contribute, making it easy and convenient for everyone!
OPTION 1 - Donate online - This is the easiest way to donate because donors can pay with a credit/debit card and students don't have to worry about collecting anything. You can have the donor scan the QR code on the brochure and then follow the website prompts. There is NO processing fee to make an online donation.
OPTION 2 - Cash or check directly to the student. All checks should be made out to Beavercreek City Schools - These donations can be handed directly to a student and should be stored in their fundraiser envelope until turn-in day. All cash/check donations must be logged on the GREEN donor log. This is required by the school for tax purposes. You do NOT need to put cash/check donations into 99Pledges - we will add it to your child's account for them at the end. The green donor log should match the money in your envelope!
OPTION 3 - Cash or check mailed to the school. All checks should be made out to Beavercreek City Schools - This is a great option for long-distance donors. They should mail the check to Coy MS Band, 1786 Dayton-Xenia Rd, Xenia, OH 45385. If they would like the donation to be associated with a specific student, please ask them to include that information. Please do not record these on your green donor log! That paper should match the money in your envelope!
Donor Incentives
While donations can certainly come from friends and family, a capital campaign is also a great opportunity for us to partner with local businesses. The Coy Band believes in supporting our community as they support us! We are proud to be able to offer several incentives to our donors as part of our capital campaign. If you have connections to a business, please feel free to reach out to see if they would like to be a sponsor for our band program!
