Recorder Karate

Welcome to Recorder Karate!

This approach will make learning to play an instrument fun by giving you goals and rewards as you practice and improve you recorder playing.  For every two songs that you learn, you will earn a colorful belt to tie on to your instrument, just like in martial arts!  

However, it is important to remember that this is not a competition.  Everyone will learn recorder at their own pace, and Recorder Karate is meant to celebrate the progress that you make in your own time.  

In addition to the written music in your recorder book, there are videos and recordings shared here to help you practice and improve.  Play along with these as you work towards your next belt!
