On March 6th, 2025 BCECHS' Journalism Club and class visited UNC Chapel Hill to view their media department. The students were able to see the The Daily Tar Heel and behind the scenes of how their weekly news broadcasts are done. Not only this, but they even sat in on a Media Law class, taught by Dr. Amanda Reid. The students greatly enjoyed the lesson and many did not want to leave due to being so invested. Additionally, they had the opportunity to walk Franklin Street and eat at places not in the Brunswick County area, such as Raising Canes. Lastly, thank you to Chapel Hill for allowing our students to tour the school.
