My name is Sarah Lewis. I am married to my husband, Scott and we have 2 children, Katelyn and Cameron.  I am a graduate of UNCW, where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. I’ve spent the past 24 years teaching Kindergarten and First Grade at Supply Elementary, where I developed a deep passion for early childhood education and supporting student growth. This year marked a new chapter—my 25th year in education—as I transitioned out of the classroom into the role of Student Support Specialist.

In this position, I collaborate closely with teachers to guide and implement the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) process. I lead the Individual Support Team (IST), working to ensure that we meet the diverse needs of every learner. Additionally, I serve as the NC STAR Process Manager, responsible for documenting and maintaining records of all School Improvement Team and MTSS meetings.

At the heart of my work is a deep commitment to reaching every student. I believe that with the right support, every child can thrive—and I’m dedicated to helping teachers create the conditions where that’s possible.
