Greetings! Welcome to the 26-27 school year!

Seventh grade is my favorite grade age to teach because they're independent, curious, motivated, and funny! We will certainly be busy this year with a packed curriculum. Student attendance and participation are crucial. We want to see you in class!

Seventh grade Social Studies follows the North Carolina 7th Grade World Studies Standards. More information can be found here: NCDPI Social Studies Standards We will study the emergence, expansion, and decline of civilizations from 1400 C.E. all the way through the modern world.

The BCS Social Studies curriculum includes Greek and Latin vocabulary stems (roots and affixes). Students will get 5 new terms each week with a vocabulary quiz every Wednesday. See the vocabulary stems page for more information.
