I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Biology with a minor in education from LeMoyne College. I have a Master's of Science degree in Instructional Technology from UNCW.
I am licensed to teach in the following areas:
MIDDLE GRADES SCIENCE (6-9)
BIOLOGY (GRADES 9-12)
INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY (K-12)
TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND DESIGN (K-12) (Career and Technical Education)
This is my 30th year in North Carolina public schools. I have worked in 4 different districts, at 7 different schools, plus 2 separate central office positions. I have taught across the K-12 continuum including high school science courses, 7th and 8th grade science, reading, social studies, coding, instructional technology, computer science and STEM. I am excited to be back at Leland Middle School teaching eighth grade. I will be teaching both eighth grade science and earth and environmental science this year.
I have been married for 29 years and have one son who makes me a hyper hockey mom! When I am not teaching I am probably traveling or combing a beach for shells.
