Social Studies
Welcome to Leland Middle School Social Studies.
I love teaching Social Studies. This year, I am happy to announce the return of the PBIS Tradition, The Medieval Tournament.
We will hold our Tournament for the students of Leland Middle School on 12/18/2026. During this day students will learn about Medieval history and enjoy the Tournament put on by the Lords and Ladies of the Non Profit group, The SCA.
Class Supplies
This year students in Social Studies will need a number two pencil and loose leaf notebook paper. We will be writing and journaling in class.
Homework
I ask that students take 15 minutes each night to review the information from that day and talk to the parents about their class. Work not completed in class becomes homework.
Extra Credit
Each quarter students can complete one extra credit project that will be added to their grade. It is the world food project. The student and parent will decide on a dish from another continent to make for their family. The student with supervision should prepare the meal. not order the meal. Then interview their family. and write a one page paper on the interview and the meal.
Archery
Welcome to the Leland / North Archery Club.
In this club we teach students through the sport of Archery how to be responsible, how to focus and how to be a successful student.
We will have information going out after Labor day weekend. Thank you!
