CMA Reminders
— Exemption Policy: remind your students of this policy. Now is a good time to start looking at absences/grades and having discussions with your students on whether or not they may be able to exempt.
— CMAs are scheduled for December 12th & 13th.
— Students have 90 minutes to complete the CMA. Classes will be on a regular schedule.
— CMAs count towards 2 summative assessment grades in Q2.
— CMAs have between 30 and 32 questions and will be graded out of 100%.
— Curves will be decided at a district level. You will not have the ability to manipulate grades at the LEA or classroom level.
— CMAs must be taken on a district Chrome Book (Google Form Locked Mode)
— Students will receive their IEP and LEP accommodations.
Final CMA Review
Review the drafts of the relevant CMA(s). Please take your time and be diligent—this is an opportunity for you to see what is on the test to better prepare your final instruction AND our last chance to make revisions.
Some things to consider:
— Can this be done in 90 minutes? (if the students are prepared)
— Do the questions cover the units/concepts equally or with an appropriate balance?
— Are the questions and answer choices clear?
— Are there any "trick" questions or answers that might make it difficult for students?
CMA's are not longer open for review. If you would like to review the CMA, please message Savanna to set up a meeting.
