JHS NJROTC seeks to instill in Cadets the value of citizenship, service, and self-discipline while providing them with a sense of belonging.

To be name a distinguished unit by accomplishing 240 points on the EOY report (Tracked by EOY report Checklist).
Finish top three in a sanctioned drill meet. (Seal Team A-Team Evaluations)
Every cadet completes a minimum of 20 hours (7500 overall) of community service. (Tracked by Admin and Ops)
Above average on Annual Inspection. (Drill Curriculum)
Have all cadets score at least 80% on General Knowledge Test (uniform regulations, orders to the sentry, Chain of Command for all platoons by AMI. All General Knowledge by the end of the year). (Tracked by Reports)
70% of cadets have the ability to run one mile, perform 25 push ups and 50 sit-ups by the end of the year.
