Valerie Brown

Welcome to second grade! My name is Valerie Brown and I am so excited to be teaching at Weaverville Elementary School!

I have been teaching in Buncombe County Schools since 2013 and have taught first, second, and third grades. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of North Florida in 2012 then moved to Asheville to begin my career. Teaching is my passion and my goal is to be the teacher I would want for my own children. 

My husband and I live in Weaverville with our children, two cats, and a tree frog! Our two energetic young boys keep us very busy, but in my free time, I enjoy decorating and gardening. 

I am so thankful to be a part of this community and cannot wait to meet you.
