Student Laptops

Every TCR student is issued a laptop and a charger when they first enroll. If a student does not have a charged laptop on a particular day, they may come into the Media Center with a pass and use one of the desktop computers to complete and submit assignments. We also are happy to charge students' laptops.

If a student's laptop is not working, they should bring it to the Media Center as soon as possible to be repaired. Students with laptops in repair are issued a loaner laptop until theirs is replaced or repaired.

If a student loses their charger, they must pay $45 (cash or check) to the Media Center to have it replaced. Alternately, they may purchase a replacement charger from another vendor, but it must be a compatible Dell brand 65W charger to get rid of the $45 fine.

If a student loses their laptop, they must pay a replacement cost $518.95.

If a student's laptop is stolen, they can be exempt from paying the replacement cost by submitting a police report detailing the theft.
