OWEN FOOTBALL 2014

The 2014 Warhorses (12-1) matched a school record for single-season wins and captured their first Western Highlands Conference championship in eight years.

Senior running back/defensive back Jager Gardner was named the 2014 Citizen-Times All-WNC Player of the Year and rushed for a Western North Carolina-record 6,955 yards in his four-year career.

Gardner signed to play college football along with fellow seniors Tate Brown (East Tennessee State) and Tucker Lowery (Mars Hill).
