AUDITIONS - Aug 31, Sep 2 & 3, 2026

Students who are currently in grades 5-12 for the 2026/2027 school year at North Buncombe district schools are invited to audition for a role in the North Buncombe Youth Theater & North Buncombe High School 2026/2027 collaboration production of Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID.

SIGN-UP GOOGLE FORM:  If you want to audition, you MUST fill out this SIGN-UP Google Form before Aug 27 to be assigned a date to audition. (NBHS students will all be scheduled Sep 2, unless you indicate otherwise on the Google form.)(NWR & NBMS students will be assigned either Aug 31 or Sep3.) TUESDAY August 25     "INTEREST MEETINGS"

NWR Cafeteria 5:00pm for 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade students.

NBHS Theater 6:30pm for high school students.

You don't have to attend, but if you want to hear more or have an opportunity to ask questions.

For the 2026/2027 school year, NBYT is producing the full-length musical Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID to include NBHS students in the cast. This collaborative production will serve as both the 26/27 NBYT Show and the NBHS 2027 Spring Show.

NBYT directors assure that there will be onstage and backstage opportunities for all grades (5th-12th) that match past NBYT opportunities. (There will be many more on-stage roles to accommodate the added high-school students involved.) There will also be backstage crew opportunities as there have been for past NBYT productions.

The performances are set for April 7 - 11, 2027 in the James F. DeBruhl Theater at NBHS.  Rehearsals will start at NWR in either October or November.

Mr. Miller (director), Mrs. Budhisetiawan (music director), Mr. Kessler (assistant director), and Mrs. Wilde (choreographer) will be the directors for this production.
