Ms. Nadine Jallal

Hello! I am Ms. Nadine Jallal, a 7th grade ELA teacher at Clyde A. Erwin Middle School! I have been teaching here since Fall 2025, and am looking forward to adding more years under my belt! I earned a degree in Secondary English Education from Appalachian State University, and am licensed to teach in Middle and High School.

Before teaching at Erwin, I  taught High School English and Creative Writing. Switching over to Middle School ELA has been a wonderful decision, and I have found my favorite age group in 7th grade!

I use learning platforms such as Google Classroom, Newsela, and Commonlit in my classroom, as well as many traditional paper-and-pencil learning opportunities during class. 

I update grades frequently through Infinite Campus, and use the "missing" flag if your student has a missing assignment. Students are learning a new level of accountability in 7th grade, so they need to be proactive about getting their own missing work in! Use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to check in and remind your student of missing work to help them with this transition into Middle School.
