Ms. Strasser 7th Math

Hello Everyone! My name is Kendall Strasser, and I teach 7th grade math at Erwin Middle School. 

I grew up outside the Madison area in Wisconsin, and attented college at UW-Green Bay. I started teaching  Algebra and Geometry at the high school level up in northern Wisconsin in 2014. Then I moved to the Asheville area in 2016, and spent 3 years teaching 6th math at Asheville Middle, and 5 years of AIG math in grades 4-8 at Evergreen Community School. I joined the Erwin Middle family in 2024 and have been here since. 

What I love about teaching math is there are multiple approaches to solving any problem which means everyone can find a solution that works for them. 

7th grade math encompasses the math that we use on a daily basis but don't necessarily think about. Any time you look at the per oz cost of  cheese, or calculate 30% off a super cute top, you're doing 7th grade math.  We'll also spend the year building our algebraic solving skills.
