Hi! I am Mrs. Cawthon-Thomason, the Woodworking I & II teacher at TC Roberson High School. I have been teaching at TCR since Fall 2020. I grew up in middle Georgia and graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design with a B.F.A. in Furniture Design in 2016. In 2020, I earned my license to teach K-12 Visual Arts at the University of North Carolina - Asheville. My heart in teaching is to help my students feel seen, heard, and a part of something larger than themselves through access to new skills and meaningful experiences. My goal is to use practical woodworking techniques and visual arts to make connections across curriculums and to larger social contexts. I strive to inspire and to be inspired daily as I facilitate learning, help build community, and work alongside my students.
