Hi there!
I have been teaching math at Owen High since 2013, and am always excited to meet and interact with new students and families!
I am originally from northern California (where most of my family still lives). After graduating high school I joined the Marine Corps and served as an air traffic control radio and communication technician. After my time in the Marines I found my way to Asheville, where I attended and graduated from UNC Asheville with a degree in math (with a concentration in 6-12 math education).
I most often teach Math 2, Math 4, and/or PreCalculus -- but that can certainly change year-to-year. Students will access my course materials online through Canvas.
I am also the club sponsor of a few clubs: Adventure club (Hiking, outdoor adventures, etc.), Disc Golf club, and Chess club. If you're interested in joining any of these clubs, please get in contact with me!
