Jessica Hamlin

About Me! 

My name is Jessica Hamlin and I teach 3rd grade at NBES. Students call me Mrs. Hamlin.  I have been teaching since 2022 and I am excited to be a part of Buncombe County Schools and teach at North Buncombe Elementary. 

I attended school through BCS throughout my k-13 educational journey. I say "k-13" because I attended Buncombe County Early College rather than a traditional high school. 

I attended college at AB Tech, and then at Mars Hill University where I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I also attended college at Grand Canyon University where I received my masters degree in Educational Leadership November 2023.  

I teach because I have a passion and love for lifelong learning and would love the opportunity to encourage students to also have a love of lifelong learning.  Everything involving school excites me whether that be reading, writing, science, social studies, pens, markers, papers; I mean everything school is exciting to me. Another reason I teach is because I am privaliged to see students "get" something when the metaphorical lightbulb goes off above their head! This is truly an inspiration to me! 

We will be using several technological platforms in my classroom such as Google Classroom and Kami. We will be learning so much! 

Another passion of mine, is my family. My husband and three children are my entire world and am truly grateful for each of them.
