Welcome to First Grade!

I am thrilled to be part of your child’s educational journey and look forward to partnering with you to make this a wonderful and successful school year.

My name is Jennifer Young, and I have been a member of the WPS family since 2008. During that time, I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Education from Mars Hill College and have had the privilege of teaching both Kindergarten and First Grade.

My goal is to create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning. I believe that learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable, and I am committed to helping each child reach their full potential.

I am excited for the year ahead and all the learning, growth, and memorable experiences we will share together. I look forward to getting to know you and your child and working together to make this an outstanding year!
