Mrs. Jackie Deitz

Welcome to our classroom! My name is Jaclynn "Jackie" Deitz, and I've been teaching since 2012. I graduated from Western Carolina University with a BA in Elementary Education, a minor in English Literature and Business. 

I'm not a native to Weaverville, but I did marry one! I grew up in Wake Forest, north of Raleigh. I originally didn't go to school to be a teacher, although I always wanted to be one. I'm a fifth generation teacher and I love what I do. I'm excited to be joining the team on "the Ridge"! 

Fun Facts:

1- The town I grew up in is where Wake Forest University started! It moved to Winston Salem in 1956. My high school stadium where I played soccer and marched was the original stadium for the University.

2- One of my biggest goals is to travel to all the National Parks across the USA. 

3- My favorite book is "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern you can usually find me with a cup of coffee, a good book and some kind of music playing.
