All About Ms. Emma
I have been teaching special education since 2021. Before teaching, I have always been passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and all of my previous jobs have been supporting individuals with disabilities. I am most passionate about literacy, communication, and adapted learning materials.
I am certified in CPR/First Aid and CPI. I have specialty certificate in Autism Spectrum Disorder.
I have attended public school from 5th grade until Graduate School. I graduated from Bertie Early College High School, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Western Carolina University!
I currently am teaching structure support at Black Mountain Elementary School.
My classroom uses Google Classroom and ClassDojo.
When I am not teaching I enjoy hiking with my dog, Willie Nelson, running, reading, and gardening.
