Hello students and families! My name is Caroline Sgan and I am so excited to work with you all this year! 2022-2023 will be my first school year at Koontz Intermediate teaching 5th grade Math and Science. Go Rams! I grew up in Mathews, NC but have many mountain roots that go back to great-grandparents. In May of 2022, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. My passions include teaching students to be kind, confident, curious learners and citizens in our world! In my free time, I love spending time with my friends, family and one year old black lab puppy named Boone!
