I am proud to serve multilingual learners (MLs) at North Buncombe High and Barnardville Elementary as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher. I am an alumna of Mars Hill University with a Batchelor's degree in English Language Acquisition and Education. I began teaching at North Buncombe High School in 2023 after spending twelve years serving the Erwin district.
I believe language opens doors, not only to academics, but to prosperity, opportunity, and community. My goal is to ensure every student has the tools they need to be happy, aware, and successful. In my classroom, you will find a strong focus on academic language skills and learning strategies. It is a joy and privilege to partner with students and families as we grow and learn together.
