Welcome to the Blue Ridge Math Teacher Circle (BRMTC) site!

Educators, if you are interested in receiving professional credits for participating in monthly meetings that have nothing to do with teaching, but everything to do with math, then BRMTC is for you.

The Blue Ridge Math Teacher circle aims to bring teachers across our region together to participate in engaging, fun math problems. These problems will be led by local educators and include names like Jennifer Wilson, of Slow Math Movement. There is no pedagogy or standards to discuss just good food to share, great professionals to engage with, and fun math to be done.

We are so excited to advertise that CEUs/professional credits will be offered to attendees of our meetings this school year! This is huge incentive and we are so thankful to have the opportunity to provide this to our participants.

Our meetings are held on Saturday afternoons and include food and entertainment such as a Lazoom tour ride or bowling. All costs will be covered by grant funds! See below for our schedule of events. You can also sign up for a remind text service to help you remember our event schedule.

What to Expect: We will go to Breakout Games in Downtown Asheville and participate in one of two options for game rooms. We have two rooms reserved so come early so you can choose wisely. This problem is thanks to Zack Wallace of Asheville City Schools.
