Placeholders allow an easy to use format for teachers and students to begin creating. By using placeholders and a template/theme, a presentation will look more uniform and well made.
You can easily Insert Images and Video into a slides presentation but if you want to add an AUDIO file, there's an extra step.
You have to use a seperate program to record audio, upload it to the drive, the INSERT --> Audio
For an Internet based program, try: Cloud Audio Recorder
REMEMBER: Change Permissions on the Audio Clip in your DRIVE to anyone can Access it. By mid-August, you can expect Slides to automatically check file permission access in a new update.
Any video or audio clips that are saved in your DRIVE, belong to you. This means the DEFAULT is that only you have ACCESS to see this content.
If you are adding audio/video clips to a slides presentation and want your audience to watch the video, you need to change permission
Choose File in DRIVE --> Right Click --> Get Shareable link --> Change from RESTRICTED to ANYONE WITH A LINK
File --> Make A Copy --> Entire Presentation (Copy Everything)
--> Selected Slides (Choose which slides to copy)
Select Slides to the left: Ctrl + Select to choose which slides to copy
Use SlidesCarnival.com and SlidesMania.com to jumpstart creativity. Both free websites use the Template Preview option. Click on Use Template in the upper right corner to add the file to your Google Drive.
