Go to drive.google.com.
Click on the settings icon in the top right.
Check Create, open, edit your recent Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and files on the device while offline.
In Google Drive, click the + New button in the upper left corner.
Select Folder.
Right click on the folder.
Use a two finger touch for a Chromebook to access the menu.
Select Change color.
You can also add emojis from Emojipedia.com or your PC computer.
On a PC, look for the Windows button between Fn and Alt.
Press the Windows flag button and . > to access the emoji menu.
There are two options to view files and folders:
List view = Name, file owner, and last modified details.
Grid view = Name and view of the first page of the file.
To change the view, move your cursor to the right. Click on the icon second from the right to change the view.
To make a copy of a file that belongs to someone else,
Go to File.
Select Make a copy.
Delete the words Copy of.
Select a folder to organize the file.
Click Okay.
Shortcuts save us time. Instead of looking through folders to find a file, use the Drive Search option.
Option 1
Type the name of the file.
The file name will appear.
Select the name to open it.
Option 2
Select the drop down arrow in the Search option.
Select as many options as you want - type of file, file owner, date, etc.
