Tutorials

Getting Started With Flipgrid: Teachers

Create a Grid for your class.

  1. Name it

  2. Choose --> School Email

  3. Type --> @bcsd.com (This will allow students to use their BCSD username to login. No BCSD students or staff cannot access Flipgrid).

Getting Started for Flipgrid: Kids

Use the link to a Topic that a teacher provides to start creating your own videos.

Create a Topic and Moderate Videos

Change time time limit for student videos from 15 seconds up to 10 minutes.

Choose to MODERATE videos and students can create videos but will NOT be able to watch videos until you approve them.

Hide, Freeze or Delete Topics

Freeze: Videos already created and posted in the Grid can still be watched.

Hidden: The entire topic will be hidden from View, so no one watch the videos previously posted.

Delete: Delete entire topic and all videos posted under that topic

Activite: Allow students to once again post videos under this topic.

Record a Video

Recording a video is easy and fun with Flipgrid. Students can record with a click of a button, add stickers or alter the background all while they showcase what they have learned.

Respond to a Video

Make giving feedback easy and personal when you or other students record response videos on Flipgrid.

Make sure you teach and model 'How To Give Feedback' with students so that the response videos they make are helpful to their peers.

Use Flipgrid while in a Zoom Meeting

Turn off your camera when in a Zoom and Mute yourself.

Bring up a 2nd window with Flipgrid. Login and the Camera will now work.
