About Me:

Hello! My name is Mr. Viereck and I am one of the Health and Physical Education teachers here at Berlin Community School. This is my 6th school year at BCS and I am very excited to be here. Health and Physical Education is a passion of mine that I hope to instill in each and every student here at BCS. I have listed some fun facts about myself below to help you get to know me a little bit better!

I graduated from Rowan University with a bachelors degree in K-12 Health and Physical Education in 2017. I also achieved my masters degree in Sports Administration from the University of Cincinnati in 2021.

I'm a huge professional sports fan and my favorite team since I was a young kid happens to be the Denver Broncos, who play in the NFL. You will definitely see my wearing my jerseys during the school year.

Although the Broncos are my favorite team, I still watch and enjoy playing just about every other sport. Some of my other favorite teams include the Philadelphia 76ers, Philadelphia Flyers, USA Women's & Men's National Team soccer, University of Cincinnati athletics, and Penn State Football.

I love to travel and try to be on the move as much as possible. Some of my favorite places that I have been to include Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland, and Kenai Fjords National Park in Alaska.

I always love to hear about places my students have been or are going to so please tell me about it some time!

One thing I really enjoy is music. I listen to just about everything there is ranging from country to hip hop. In the gymnasium, I like to incorporate music into my class to help create a fun and engaging environment. I am always interested in what music my students like and encourage students to submit songs they enjoy exercising to on our "PE Song Request" form in the BCS Student page.

  • This is my favorite quote and something that I think can be inspirational for all BCS students. My interpretation of the quote is that nothing is unachievable if YOU are willing to put in the work & effort to make it possible. What's something YOU want? Are YOU willing to put in the work towards that goal?
