LBHS Summer Reading Information

Do I have to read a book from the LB Reads 21 List?

• No, you can read anything you want!  This list is just a recommendation list from the LB Reads Committee.

• You can read books, newspapers or magazines!  You can also listen to audiobooks and count the time for the challenge. 

Do I have to participate in the BOCO Reading Colors Your World Summer Learning Program ?

• No, we encourage you to do some of the activities in the  “Reading Colors Your World” program but you are not required to.  If you track your 10 hours through the challenge though you will qualify for the LBHS celebration AND you will earn tickets toward the public library prizes. This is a win, win for sure!

Can I participate in the LB Reads Summer Challenge without using the Beanstack website/app?

• Yes but we encourage you to use the Beanstack app- it's free and easy and shows our partnership with BOCO Public Library. If you don't use the Beanstack app you can turn a paper log in to the LBHS Library in August. 

Can I log my reading on a paper log.

• Yes, if that works better for you.  Here is a link to the paper log you can print off and return at the start of school.  We will also have copies of this available in the LBHS Library.
