Botetourt County Public Schools uses the Cook Center for Human Connection as a trusted resource for mental health support, including one of their partners: ParentGuidance.org. Parents and guardians can find real answers, help, and support to better understand and care for their children’s mental health needs, with access to the following no-cost resources:
On-Demand Courses: over 70 on-demand courses led by licensed therapists.
Ask a Therapist: a constantly expanding resource where parents can find answers to their immediate questions.
This tutorial video shows how to register for your profile and gives an overview of the resources available through Parent Guidance.
Parent Guidance provides a monthly newsletter on mental health topics with advice for parents and children. This and previous year's newsletters are available below.
Note: Due to subscription timing, some monthly newsletters from previous years are not available. Content covered in these monthly newsletters is still available to families through the ParentGuidance.org resources.
This 'Parent Guidance Resources' button is located on the main Botetourt County Public Schools website and on each school website to provide quick and easy-to-find access for parents.
