2023-2024 School Year Welcome Letter
August 12, 2023
Dear Claremont School Students, Parents and Care Providers,
Welcome back to the 2023-2024 school year! I am very excited to welcome you all to a brand-new school year. Whether this is your student’s first year at Claremont, or your student’s 7th year at Claremont, you are welcome to our community of learners.
I hope you had a restful and relaxing summer and are ready for a productive school year focused on educational excellence. My personal vision is to continue to build upon Claremont’s history of academic excellence, caring and supportive environment, while making sure our students reach expectations and standards put in place.
This year, we are welcoming some new staff members who will continue to support your students. I look forward to you meeting with them on Back to School Night and as the school year progresses.
As far as curriculum, we will utilize the district’s curriculum and adopt Unique Learning as a supplemental program. As a school, we have noted that this new curriculum will meet the needs of our students and provide a more meaningful support system for students to accomplish their IEP goals and objectives. Students will continue to each have their Individual Education Plans (IEPs), as well as their Student Learning Plans (SLPs).
As the year progresses, teachers and case managers will reach out to you individually about your student. I will send out weekly newsletters on Sunday mornings, robocalls for important announcements, as well as information will be posted on our school’s Google Site.
The Google site can be accessed at bit.ly/claremont307.
Please review some important upcoming dates and events for the next few weeks.
