Jacob Caudell

I am a postdoctoral researcher in the computer science department at Boston College under the supervision of Dr. José Bento. I develop algorithms for cellular deconvolution and study random graph alignment problems.

I completed my PhD in mathematics at Boston College in August 2023. My advisor was Josh Greene. My dissertation research leveraged geometric constructions, combinatorial gadgets like graphs and lattices, and Heegaard Floer homology to obtain a characterization of 3-dimensional lens spaces realized by surgery on a knot in the Poincaré homology sphere. Below is a Kirby diagram of my favorite 4-manifold. You can contact me at caudell (at) bc (dot) edu.
