Budapest British International School

We will continue to keep you updated with any changes to the school’s protocols as we learn to live with COVID-19. Our overriding aim is the safety and well-being of the students and adults who interact with the school. The latest advice from the Hungarian Government can be found by clicking this link.

The following changes come into effect on Monday, May 10th:

  • All students are back in school!

Online Learning

Although we are not expecting to return to online learning, should there be significant changes in the country and should the Government require this of us, we will be able to return to that teaching and learning scenario with ease.

To help stop the virus from spreading:

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze

  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean

  • Put used tissues in the bin straight away and wash your hands afterwards – for at least 20 seconds

  • Wash your hands with soap and water often and particularly after:

    • before and after cooking or eating

    • after using the toilet

    • before leaving and after returning home

  • Use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available

  • If you need to go outside, stay 2 metres (3 steps) away from other people

There are a number of additional resources that you may find useful for further information on the coronavirus, the Government and international response and how best to talk about the outbreak with your children. Links to these can be found below:
