New Clubs
If your interested in starting a new club or activity please look over the Club and Activity Guidelines first. Please note that for a club to be considered for approval, the following requirements must be satisfied or demonstrated by the requesting students/staff:
Demonstrate Student Interest: Acquire a roster of at least 10 interested students using the approved Club Petition Roster Template. You can email Mr. Backo for a copy of this (backoj@bbhcsd.org)
Demonstrate a Unique Purpose: The club’s mission and vision must be unique and significantly different from existing clubs.
Create a Formal Charter & Calendar Proposal: The club must establish specified student leadership and formalized meeting dates. This can be accomplished by completing the Club and Activity Approval Form.
Advisor Agreement: The club must have a staff advisor who is willing to monitor and supervise club meetings and activities. This can be accomplished by having the staff advisor complete the Advisor Commitment Form. These forms can be turned in to the assistant principal’s office for review.
Club requests will be reviewed and approved during 2 formal request windows each year:
Semester 1: Deadline of September 30th
Semester 2: Deadline of January 31st
*Please note the following when submitting a new club for approval:
New clubs must be unique and separate from all current clubs.
You must have a faculty or staff member who has agreed to be a voluntary advisor for the club.
If the club plans to use a bank account or deal with finances they must fill out the Budget and Purpose Form with an advisor. This form must be turned into Mrs. Treter in the main office and Board Approved before the club can collect or spend funds.
Clubs who plan to travel must have their faculty and staff advisor or board approved chaperones travel with them to all events.
Any club wishing to go on an overnight trip MUST have the trip board approved and follow all district approved overnight trip policies.
Clubs that do not have a plan for the aforementioned will not be approved.
