Dress Code

The students in Health and Fitness are required to wear clothing that is appropriate for movement and activity. This is done to enhance participation while keeping their classroom clothes clean throughout the day. All clothing in Chief Middle school need to comply with the district mandated "No Bare Zone" policy, including Health & Fitness clothes.

As students transition from Elementary to Middle School Health & Fitness, there can be an anxiety when a student learns they now need to change for their H & F classes. Being sensitive to that issue, teachers are more than willing to work with students and families to try to accommodate their individual needs.

Health and Fitness Clothes includes:

  • Appropriate shoes for both the gym floor and outdoor activities.
  • Shorts or Sweat pants
  • Required Chief Health & Fitness T-shirt (purchased for $5.50 in the office)
