1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module focuses on designing for human need, employing focused creative research. You are also asked to work collaboratively, sharing skills and negotiating roles to carry out a project (or part of a project).
This module helps develop your ability to observe and document human needs or behaviours, and to take empathetic and creative approaches to designing for others. You will have opportunities to further develop your skills in ideation, model making and prototyping, and evaluating and adapting designs through dialogue and testing. This module is also an opportunity to work productively as part of a team.
2.Outline syllabus:
You will work collaboratively to research and observe human needs and behaviours, and apply this as part of a design process. By gathering and debating this research, you will use this knowledge to form ideas and prototype designs that will be tested with participants.
