1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module reflects the rapid changes in technology that the animation industry faces. The recent rise of different ways of experiencing animation requires new thinking and adaptation of skillsets. The experiences you will have received so far on the course will prepare you to consider this expanding field. You will use augmented reality (AR) headsets to consider the possibilities for mixed reality (MR) games, animations and experiences. You will use virtual reality (VR) headsets and consider the possibilities for narrative animation in 360x360 degrees as well as 3D games/experiences.
This module will involve some teamwork as you consider the implications of VR/AR/MR, whether through the creation of social media experiences, stories, interactivity, art, design or cinema.
