1. Brief description and aims of module:
This module focuses on visual research and drawing for generating, expanding and communicating ideas through project based learning. It also supports you in taking an idea from concept to outcome.
You will be introduced to visual research methods in furniture and product design, and drawing as a means of gathering visual information, recording and exploring ideas, using both analogue and digital media methods.
The module aims for you to apply your research to understand methods towards the design development of a three-dimensional outcome, and drawing and visual communication will form part of your design development.
2.Outline syllabus:
In addition to staff presentations and directed taught sessions, you will have the opportunity to work independently in the studio, discussing your project development with staff and your course peers both informally and formally through tutorials and critiques. You will also have the opportunity to go outside of the studio to progress your ideas.
