Why do artists make artwork about animals?
1. Artist of the Week: Alexander Calder
Alexander Calder was an artist from Pennsylvania. He is most famous for his sculptures but he was also a painter. Calder made sculptures that don't move (he called stabiles) and sculptures that move (he called mobiles).
Check out a few of his small and large stabile sculptures.
