What will learning look like in 6th Grade ELA?
We focus on the 4 main areas of English Language Arts; Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening.
We mix both textbook lessons with other materials (such as our read-aloud books and SCOPE magazine) relevant to the specific unit of study.
Our unit topics: Childhood, Animals, Modern Technology, and Imagination
Using Google Classroom- At Home or In School
Students should use the “Classwork” section of Google Classroom to find assignments and learning materials such as videos or links, which will be organized by topics (for example by the dates of that week, monthly topics, or type of task).

A Typical Day In ELA
Every day students come in and work on a Do Now activity.
We have read aloud on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and independent reading time.
A typical day includes a mini-lesson and practice activity.
Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom
