Community events

The Basalt Chamber of Commerce is working with our community partners on two events - on for our first responders, and one for our community. Details for each event will be posted here. Last updated on Wednesday July 25 at 4 p.m.

National Night Out

A celebration of our first responders and community

Tuesday, August 7, 5-8 p.m. | Triangle Park • Willits

National Night Out is an evening for our community to stand together, promote safety and neighborhood unity. Following the Lake Christine Fire, this year’s annual event has taken on a new purpose and meaning. Attend this event where the local first responders and supporting agencies, whose efforts were critical during those first 36 hours, are recognized and honored. Hosted by the Basalt Police Department and the Basalt & Rural Fire Protection District.

Music, kids games, bounce house, giveaways, free food

Volunteer - Give back by volunteering and helping with the event - otherwise the police and fire fighters have to work their own event.

Sponsorship opportunties

Parking in Willits may be limited, so it is highly encouraged that you walk, bike or take RFTA to the event. This is an event hosted by law enforcement, so please park responsibly.

Basalt Community Picnic

A celebration of our community and the home we love

The Basalt Community Picnic will celebrate our diverse community, our commonalities and the deep rooted need to help our neighbors. Please leave your pets at home.

Live music, kids games, and a thank you station (Basalt care packages will be sent to all the cooperating agencies who have worked on this fire).
