My name is Dawnya Hill and I am one of two Law and Justice teachers at Apalachee. This is my 11th year here at AHS and I have fantastic plans for this year! My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and a Master's in Teaching from UGA. Prior to coming to AHS, I was a Felony Probation Officer for the State of Georgia for 10 and 1/2 years and I was assigned to Gwinnett County. This real world experience provided me with a wealth of experience in the field which I can now share with my students. Both of my parents were employed in the Criminal Justice field so I pretty much grew up in the world of law.
A little further information: I am married with three daughters. I have two nieces and two nephews (thanks to my wonderful sister). I love music and going to concerts is one of my favorite pastimes. I teach by story because I feel that if you can attach something funny, sad or even gross to a topic then you are more likely to remember the concept.
